mission

  1. To advocate for the interests of member businesses and defend them in cases of conflicts with institutions, in accordance with the rules and laws of the state.
  2. To fight against informality and unfair competition as a result of insufficient attention from institutions towards informal activities conducted by “tour operators,” by better coordinating its activities with the Ministry of Tourism, the State Police, the Tax Directorate, and local authorities.
  3. To build a mutually beneficial information system among Union members and regularly report to the relevant state bodies regarding tourist movements both within the country and abroad.
  4. To coordinate and assist the promotional activities of member businesses through B2B meetings, fairs, fam trips, workshops, and conferences.
  5. To anticipate the development of Albanian tourism through studies, projects, training, etc., and to prepare tourism-related projects, coordinating and cooperating with other organizations to attract donations from foreign or local donors.
  6. To coordinate tourism management initiatives within the Union groups, at the sector level or broader, by undertaking initiatives for tourism development in cooperation with environmental, artistic, cultural associations, local bodies, etc.
  7. To establish connections, partnerships, and collaborations with other tourism operators in the Balkans, Europe, or globally, to exchange mutual experiences.
  8. To join international tourism organizations in the Balkans, Europe, and to promote and showcase the achievements of Albanian tourism, particularly those of the Albanian Tourism Union.
  9. To develop and enhance promotional and propaganda tools for Albanian Tourism and to publish them in the media or print them in newspapers and magazines.
  10. To initiate and propose legal actions to state decision-making bodies to regulate and standardize tourism through legal and sub-legal acts, with the aim of establishing fair market economy rules in the tourism sector.
